Free Help : what’s the catch?
‘Free help’ is sometimes understood by people to mean something the words do not say, it’s as if the immediate response is already programmed into the mind of the reader or listener to think ‘it can’t be true’ or ‘what’s the catch?’
Don’t take it personally if that’s the immediate ‘gut response’ you have, after all it’s taken you a long time & repeated episodes of learning and re-learning, possibly even the ‘hard way’ to be able to respond so instantly & completely confidently as you do. Congratulate yourself, you’ve learnt well.
This is just one of the many things you have learnt well in your life. Your instincts now are based are on what you have learnt through experience. In fact you are so good at learning that it’s now become ‘second nature’ or ‘instinctive’.
The question I wonder if you have thought about is “what can you do if you’ve learnt something over time so well that it is now second nature and you wish it wasn’t ?”
If you always react a certain way in a certain situation and you wish you didn’t.
If you always feel a certain way in a certain situation and you wish you didn’t.
What can you do about it?
The first thing to do is stop, take notice of how you feel and of what you are thinking and then relax.
Easier said than done you might say to which I would reply that you have already had to learn how to react as you do now so is it not equally logical that you can learn how to react differently?
In order to react differently there is a requirement for new episodes of learning and re-learning so you can learn to respond instantly & completely confidently in a new ‘gut response’ way.
This ‘new response’ can be achieved using the same skills you used to learn the ‘old response’. Your current instinctive response is built upon the habits that have developed from your previous thinking, not the thinking of let’s make a cup of tea or write a shopping list but the deeper thinking that happens in all of our minds, in the deeper parts of our minds, when we reflect on our experiences both consciously and subconsciously.
An important step in being able to re-learn or alter your current instinctive response is by being able to relax more readily and more easily, if you can do this then many things that currently cause you anxiety, tension or stress can seem significantly less difficult to cope with. If you can cope more easily then you are more likely to make better judgement decisions because you are making them from a position of confidence and security.
So returning to ‘free help’, which as you may notice is always freely available in the menu bar at the top of the page, in exchange for your email address, which I will be surprised if you told me you have ever had to pay for, and which equally I will not disclose or share to any other person, not solely because I am bound by the rules of confidentiality under the ethics of my governing bodies, but because I believe in honesty & integrity. So ‘free help’ is available, it is true and there is no catch you can download a free mp3 which will help you relax and re-energise yourself in 15 minutes, listen to it at least once a day for a week and then as often as you feel you need to.
You will notice after even one listen but more so after listening to the recording a few times, that at moments that previously you would have felt stressed, anxious or in a state of tension that your ability to relax will have increased.
The download is free because I believe in what I do. I believe sometimes that relatively small actions can be of significantly more benefit to people than may at first be apparent. I understand that not everyone is in a position to be any more involved currently in what I do than listening to a download and that’s fine. It really is, download and make use of the material as you wish to and need to, just remember you got it was given freely so do not put it to commercial use.
